Writing & Publishing
Master the block editor, learn keyboard shortcuts, and publish to multiple platforms at once.
Using the Editor
Blogr uses a Notion-style block editor. Every piece of content is a block that you can create, edit, reorder, and delete independently.
- Slash commands — Type
/on an empty line to open the block menu. Search by typing the block name (e.g.,/code,/image). - Drag to reorder — Hover over any block to reveal the drag handle on the left. Drag blocks up or down to reorder.
- Keyboard-first — All editing actions are accessible via keyboard shortcuts. Press
⌘Kto open the command palette.
Block Types
The editor supports the following block types:
| Block | Slash Command | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Text | /text | Standard paragraph text |
| Heading 2 | /h2 | Section heading |
| Heading 3 | /h3 | Subsection heading |
| Code Block | /code | Syntax-highlighted code with language selector |
| Image | /image | Upload or paste an image |
| Callout | /callout | Highlighted info, warning, or tip box |
| Divider | /divider | Horizontal rule to separate sections |
Publishing Your Post
When your post is ready, click the Publish button in the top bar to open the publish panel.
- Select destinations — Toggle which platforms should receive the post. Only connected platforms are shown.
- Set SEO metadata — Edit the title, slug, and meta description for your hosted blog. An OG image is generated automatically (Pro feature).
- Publish or schedule — Click Publish to send immediately, or use Schedule (Pro) to set a future publish date.
Each platform receives its own publish job. If one platform fails, the others are not affected. You can retry failed jobs from the post's status page.
